Peer-to-Pear Mental Health Training
We're proud to support the Mt. Baker Volunteer Ski Patrol with grant funds for specialized peer-to-peer mental health training. This program helps these EMS providers support each other through the unique stresses of emergency response on the mountain.
Ensuring Rapid EMS Access
The Mt. Baker area presents a uniquely difficult environment for EMS: its remote location means transport times to definitive care can be dangerously long, severe winter weather routinely complicates response, and the corridor draws high volumes of outdoor recreationists year-round — all of which put sustained pressure on the agency's
resources.
Through a new vehicle build-out, this grant enabled Glacier Fire & Rescue increased capacity to reach patients faster and deliver higher quality care in the field.
