Our Grant Program

Help Us Strengthen Emergency Care in Whatcom County!

The EMS Foundation of Whatcom County will open the next grant cycle in March 2027. We anticipate being able to fund one or two projects that support our first responders with specialized training, equipment, and safety initiatives in Whatcom County.

Conversations with Emergency Medical Responders throughout the county emphasized that operational readiness is of vital concern; ensuring personnel are clinically, technically, and tactically prepared with appropriate tools and training. As the focus of our grant program, the Foundation provides a funding mechanism that directly impacts patient outcomes and responder safety. Advanced training combined with appropriate and consistent equipment increases clinical competence, rescue capability, and disaster preparedness, and can lead to a long, healthy, and satisfying career.
